- --Hi, people,
- --
- -- I bought a USR Courier V.Everything not too long ago (it's using the
- November 95 Flash Rom ). Recently, I've seen the latest release of the Flash
- Rom Code on some local BBSes. However, when I visited USR's FTP and WEB
- sites, I couldn't find the SDL. The only ones there are months old. I've
- emailed USR's support service AND the their Postmaster but all I got in return
- were a few Automated Mails which weren't of any help at all.
- --
- -- Now, I'd like to know whether there are any sites where I can obtain
- the latest SDLs on a regular basis? I should point out that calling the USR
- BBS is NOT an option for me due to the long distance phone charges involved.
- --
- -- Any help given in my direction would be greatly appreciated.
- --
- --
- --P.S. I would like to pose a few questions to any USR personnel on this
- newsgroup:
- -- 1. Why aren't the latest SDLs available for FTP at USR's FTP
- site?
- -- 2. How can I get a personal reply to my email queries when I need
- one?
- --
-
- The new SDL file can be obtained by calling the 1-800-550-7800 Hotline and
- asking for it. They will either download it to you, send it to you in email,
- or mail you a diskette. The files are no longer available online because of
- US export restrictions. They have to verify that you're in the US or Canada
- before they'll give you the new code. Blame the government, not USR.
